What these technologies do

Cookies are small values stored by a browser and normally sent with matching website requests. Local storage keeps values available to scripts on the same website without automatically attaching them to every request. Both can be used for preferences; either can also support tracking, depending on implementation.

The supplied site tools

The supplied site scripts do not set cookies, use local storage or load analytics or advertising services. Navigation state, calculator entries and message drafts remain in the current page’s memory. The tools do not require optional tracking to work.

A browser may independently cache files, restore a previous page or remember form inputs. Those browser functions are distinct from cookies created by the site’s scripts.

Consent controls and hosting

If a separate consent interface is presented by the hosting platform, it may store your choice in a cookie or local storage. A preference record is distinct from optional analytics or advertising. Its actual storage name, duration and controls should be described by that interface or the provider operating it.

Accepting a preference prompt does not cause these supplied tools to begin tracking, and declining optional storage does not prevent their calculations. Any future optional tracking should be described and, where required by law, withheld until valid consent is given.

Managing your browser

You can inspect or remove cookies and site storage through your browser’s privacy or site-information controls. Clearing site data may reset a separately provided consent preference. Downloaded drafts and clipboard history are managed separately, so clearing cookies does not necessarily remove them.

External reference websites may use their own cookies after you follow a link. Review their notices independently. For broader information about website requests and correspondence, read Your Household Data. Questions may be sent to [email protected].
